The Department of Economics, Management and Industrial Engineering, Politecnico di Milano invites applications for two positions as Research Fellows in Economics of Innovation and Technological Change

Sterling: Annual base gross salary: 19.500,50 Euro corresponding approximately to a net salary of 970 Euro per month. The position is full-time (36 months) and based in Milan (Italy).

Candidates’ profile:

Candidates should have either a master level education (at least five year-university education) or being enrolled in a PhD program in Economics or Management. They should have a strong interest in applied research. Econometric skills are required. Preferences will be given to the most qualified candidates in terms of demonstrated research productivity and future research potential. Knowledge of Italian is recommended but it is not required.

Selected candidates are expected to carry out research at top international standards and publish their results on international journals. Active participation in the research team and interaction with colleagues are also required combined with excellent communication skills.

The selected candidates will work in a research team in the field of Economics of Innovation and Technological Change on projects related to issues such as entrepreneurship in high-tech sectors, the link between science and firm creation, public policy towards high-tech ventures, R&D, knowledge and productivity growth, innovation in network industries, multinational enterprises and foreign direct investments. Additional compensation may be provided (up to 50% of base salary) depending on involvement in teaching and related activity at the undergraduate, graduate and executive level.
