Each scholarship is worth 12,000 euros, and the honorary awards are 1,000 each. “Participation” is part of Cosmote’s CSR program aiming to financially support students who come from poor areas of Greece.

It was established four year ago and is among the most successful CSR programs as CSR is an integral part of Cosmote’s office culture.

The Minister of Education Ms. Marietta Giannakou attended the event and handed out the scholarships.

Cosmote’s CEO Mr. Evangelos Martigopoulos stated that the “Participation” program has become an institution whose goal is the support of the youth who strives for a better education and assist them in realizing their dreams as they hold the future of the country.

An Evaluation Committee assesses the eligibility of the students for the scholarships as it examines if they fullfil the criteria such as socioeconomic background, financial status, whether they have special needs etc.
