Twenty ambassadors of the mining industry are sharing their stories with secondary students in a new bilingual mining careers magazine published in Sudbury called RockON.

RockON, a Laurentian Media publication, is also offering three $1,000 scholarships to students interested in pursuing careers in mining. For more information, visit www.rock-on.ca.

The magazine will be available to students across Northern Ontario as well as to guidance counsellors throughout the province.

According to the Mining Industry Training and Advisory Council, the mining industry must attract 81,000 new people in the next 10 years to meet demand and fill positions vacated by retirees.
