The Hertie Foundation offers scholarships for study and research stays at the Universities of Chemnitz and Bamberg. The programme is aimed at students from Central and Eastern Europe in the fields of German, political science, law, business administration and economics. All scholarships provide funding for two semesters; study stays are remunerated with 650 Euro per month and research stays with 1000 to 2000 Euro. In special cases stays can be prolonged by one additional semester. Applications can be submitted to either of the two universities by January 31st, 2006.
