The Program provides educational opportunities for African Americans, American Indians/Alaskan Natives, Asian Pacific Islander Americans, Hispanic Americans through scholarships of up to $10,000 & 8 to 10 week summer internships at Marathon operations in various U.S. locations. Marathon Oil Corporation shall provide $2,500 for those interns who do not live near internship sites. Marathon is seeking sophomore applicants majoring in petroleum engineering, chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, geology or geophysics and seniors or graduate student candidates with plans to earn a Masters in geology, geophysics, mathematics or physics. Applicants must complete an online application, have a faculty member complete a letter of recommendation and submit a current transcript and resume.
