The General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Massachusetts is sponsoring eight scholarships ranging from $500 to $3000. The application forms can be obtained from Braintree Women’s Club Scholarship Chairwoman, Rosemary McDonough, 1480 Liberty St, Braintree, MA 02184, Telephone # 781-848-5309. The Scholarships are listed below with the postmark deadline for each item and amount.
Study abroad scholarship of up to $800 for graduate study or undergraduate study abroad. Deadline is March 1.

Teaching scholarship of $600 given in the name of the Newtonville Woman’s Club. Deadline is March 1.
Pennies for Art Scholarship of up to $800. Applicant must be a senior in a Massachusetts High School. Deadline is Feb. 1.
Catherine E. Philbin Scholarship $500 for graduate or undergraduate study in public health, Deadline is March 1.
Music scholarships of $800 for high school seniors for college level major in instrument, music education, music therapy, piano or voice. Deadline is Feb. 1.
Music scholarship of $500 given in the name of the Dorchester Woman’s Club. Scholarship for undergraduate major in voice. Deadline is Feb. 1.
Communication disorder/speech therapy scholarship of $800 for graduate study. Deadline is March 1.
Memorial Education Fund Fellowship of $3000 for graduate study in cancer research of graduate study; nurse practitioner. Deadline is March 1.
These various scholarships are awarded each year by the General Federation of Massachusetts with the assistance of many clubs throughout the state which have become part of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Massachusetts. The Braintree Women’s Club has been a member of the GFWC of MA since 1955 and has supported these awards through our yearly dues and other contributions. We hope to continue
our efforts in helping to provide educational assistance for those striving towards their professional goals..
