Trustee Academic Scholarship
January 9th, 2006 - Posted in ScholarshipThe 25th Annual TAS (Trustee Academic Scholarship) competition awards up to seven scholarships in recognition of those who combine the following scholarly characteristics: academic achievement, community leadership and superior communication skills.The competition is an exclusive opportunity to be awarded a scholarship to Wyoming Seminary and to prepare for college – and life – at Northeastern Pennsylvania’s most challenging independent school.
Who is eligible?
Candidates for admission to the ninth or tenth grade who are not currently enrolled at Wyoming Seminary and who have not been offered or awarded one of the Trustee Academic Scholarships in 2005.
What are the criteria?
Trustee Academic Scholarships will be granted to those who combine outstanding performance on a competitive exam with a record of academic and extracurricular achievement, high qualities of citizenship and superior communication skills.
How does the selection process work?
A selection committee will interview semifinalists.Scholarships will then be awarded in March, based on criteria and an interview. Winners of all scholarships must meet certain admission requirements.
