The goal of WPS Resources Foundation Inc. Agribusiness/Forestry Scholarship is to help young people of our service territory develop skills, leadership abilities and technical knowledge to meet the challenges of farming and farm-related activities. Each year, up to 10 students will be awarded a $700 scholarship.

Qualifications

Applicants must:

* Be a high school senior graduating in the current academic year.
* Meet the admission requirements of the selected university or technical college (see list below).
* Be the son/daughter of a customer with a primary residence in Wisconsin Public Service Corporation or Upper Peninsula Power Company territory, or the son/daughter of a WPS Resources employee.

Awards

Up to ten $700 non-renewable scholarships will be awarded to recipients selected on a competitive basis. The scholarships given will be a combination of four-year non-renewable college scholarships and two-year non-renewable technical college scholarships.

Selection

A committee consisting of professional agricultural leaders will make the selection of scholarship recipients.
