Seymour Special Education Parents Advisory Council has announced the availability of two scholarships for graduating students.
One is for a Seymour High School graduate majoring in special education or a related field. These related fields could be in any area of therapy. This scholarship is payable at the beginning of the student’s third year.
The second scholarship has been established for a Seymour High School student with a disability to pursue his or her education (not necessarily in the pursuit of a degree).
This is the seventh year for the scholarship program sponsored by Seymour SEPAC. More than $13,200 has been awarded through this program.
Scholarship applications may be obtained by contacting Seymour SEPAC, P.O. Box 1028, Seymour, IN 47274 or the Seymour High School financial aid counselors. Applications are also available to vocational rehabilitation clients pursuing additional education. Contact one of the above sources for an application. The application deadline is April 1. Applications may be turned in to the school financial aid office or may be mailed to the above post office box.
The council’s purpose in awarding these scholarships is to increase recognition and understanding of people with special needs.
