Rotary International scholarships are available to college students for the 2007-2008 school year to attend a university in a foreign country.

Scholarships are for one academic year (usually nine months).

The Rotary Foundation will fund up to $25,000 for transportation and living expenses.

The Commerce Rotary Club has sponsored more than 20 A&M-Commerce students for study abroad.

Men and women may both apply, and the applicants may be graduate or undergraduate students. They must also be proficient in the language of the country where they wish to study.

The deadline for application to a local Rotary Club is Wednesday, March 29.

Contact Dr. James Norwood, retired A&M-Commerce faculty member at 903-886-3287 for more information on eligibility and application procedures.
