The Licking County Foundation is offering scholarships to county residents who are pursuing post-high school education.

Many general scholarships are available with specialized scholarships for students pursuing degrees in fire service, law enforcement, nursing, performing arts, education, science, engineering, business and agricultural studies. The Foundation also has a scholarship for a graduating high school senior who is a cancer survivor.

The amount of each scholarship award varies, with top awards reaching near $3,000. Detailed information about the Licking County Foundation scholarship program and the 2006 application can be found online at www.thelcfoundation.org. Applications are also available in all area high school guidance offices and the financial aid office at the Newark campus of Ohio State University and the Central Ohio Technical College. The deadline for submitting a completed application is March 20.
