20 US universities offer scholarships in UAE
February 8, 2006 - Posted in ScholarshipDubai Knowledge Village will host the fifth Annual American Education Expo on February 12, in which more than 20 American universities are offering $10 million in scholarships and financial aid for prospective students from the region, Gulf News reported.
Representatives of the US schools will participate at the one-day exhibition, which supported by the US Department of Commerce and US Embassy. It will include seminars on guidelines to obtain a US visa, distance learning and how students can get a scholarship.
The marketing director of the International Student Network clarified that scholarships are merit-based. Twenty-one universities will be present at the exhibition. East Texas Baptist University alone is offering $9 million worth of scholarships.
