Mississippi high school seniors looking for funds to help them attend college can apply through March 1, 2006, for Nissan North America Inc. Scholarships.

Seniors, graduating this spring with a minimum ACT national testing score of 20, are eligible to apply for aid to attend any of the state’s public community colleges or universities. A minimum SAT I score of 940 can be substituted for the ACT. (Residual ACT scores are not accepted.)

Eligible students must also have achieved a minimum cumulative 2.5 high school grade point average on a 4.0 scale, after completion of at least seven semesters. Those chosen to receive Nissan Scholarships can reapply annually if maintaining a 2.5 GPA and Mississippi residency.

The scholarships cover tuition and required fees and include a book allowance. Length of the award varies depending on the certificate or degree students pursue.
