Wabash Telephone Cooperative to offer scholarships for local students

Wabash Telephone Cooperative in Louisville is excited to announce their scholarship program for area high school seniors whose parents are members of the cooperative. Scholarship forms are available to eligible students through their high school guidance counselor. March 10 is the last day Wabash Telephone Coop. will be able to accept the applications.

Wabash Telephone is also enthused to announce its participation in the National Telecommunications Cooperative Association’s (NTCA) Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) 2006 College Scholarship Program. This year, the program will award $62,500 in scholarships to rural youth across the United states.

The foundation will award 25 scholarships valued at $2,000. WTCI will provide an additional $500 scholarship to any winning student(s) it sponsors, bringing the total scholarship award to $2,500 per student. The scholarship program is open to all graduating high school seniors from rural areas who receive local service from WTCI or WIN. Applications must be turned into WTCI by Feb. 24.
