Books, books and even more books.

Don’t mind reading a used book? Enjoy saving money bypassing the $35 to $45 versions?

Then the 37th annual Used Book Sale sponsored by the Wilmington Branch of the American Association of University Women is for you.

For four days at the Concord Mall, starting today, you can have your fill of tomes on all topics, genres and themes. And all the proceeds go to a good cause — scholarships for high-school seniors and women who want to go back to school.

According to chairwoman Helga Ganci, the organization has given out $50,000 in scholarships “for the past several years.”

So how can this group collect about 48,000 books each year?

“It’s mostly word of mouth,” said Ganci. “But we do include information about the sale and how to donate on the bookmarks we distribute.”

Ganci said scholarship applications are distributed to Delaware high schools and guidance counselors.
