Outstanding college bound students have been recognized for their achievements through the AgHeritage Farm Credit Services Scholarship Program for the past five years. Again this year, AgHeritage FCS will award $500 scholarships.

“The Scholarship Program is one of several programs provided by AgHeritage Farm Credit Services in support of the future generation of farmers and ranchers,” said Charles Conklin, AgHeritage FCS President and CEO. “AgHeritage FCS also offers a 4-H and FFA Program and Next Generation Farmer Program. We want to provide opportunities and tools that position the next generation to reach their full potential.”

The Scholarship Program was established in 2001 for dependent eligible children of AgHeritage FCS customers-owners. The scholarships are awarded to freshmen enrolled for the upcoming fall semester at an accredited undergraduate university, college, community college, junior college or technical school. Recipients are selected by an assessment of the students’ academic records, involvement in school related activities and extracurricular activities/work. The 2006 Scholarship Program deadline is March 15. Applications are available at local AgHeritage Farm Credit Services branch offices.
