Adult education program on hold

HUDSON, N.H. Plans to offer adult education classes at Alvirne High School in Hudson (New Hampshire) are on hold due to lack of enrollment.
The classes in welding, construction trades, veterinary science and other subjects were to be offered in cooperation with the Londonderry Adult Education Program. The Londonderry program is thriving, but officials say they’ve had trouble getting the Alvirne program off the ground.

Officials say such programs are particularly valuable to at-risk students who have fallen behind on course requirements or are on the verge of dropping out.
