ExxonMobil offers ag college scholarships
March 1st, 2006 - Posted in ScholarshipExxonMobil is now accepting entries for its fourth annual Mobil Delvac Agricultural Scholarships program, which provides $4,000 scholarships to three students pursuing a college degree at an accredited US agriculture school.
This year’s theme is “maximizing the efficiency and performance of farm equipment,” and students may write essays on whether there’s a correlation between equipment longevity and farm longevity, or whether equipment maintenance decisions were more critical 80 years ago than today. For the visual category, students may submit an original photo or drawing, along with 100 words or less, depicting a result of effective equipment maintenance.
The contest is judged by a panel of agriculture industry experts. Since the program’s inception, agriculture scholarships have been awarded to 11 students from 10 universities in 10 states.
