6 Doctoral Scholarships: Incentives – Bavarian Graduate Program in Economics

“Incentives – Bavarian Graduate Program in Economics”.
The program is a joint initiative of the universities of Augsburg, wayreuth, Erlangen-Nurnberg, LMU Munchen, Passau, Regensburg, and Wurzburg (Germany). It is supported by the Elite Network of Bavaria (ENB, http://www.elitenetzwerk-bayern.de), the state of Bavaria`s academic excellence program. The program provides ideal opportunities for pursuing doctoral training to excellent students, under the supervision of the professor of the participating institutions who is best qualified for the research topic. It offers special courses teaching advanced methods of modern economics, thereby facilitating the start of own research, as well as research workshops. Participants will study one term abroad and gain work experience as an intern in an environment close to their research topic.

The three year appointments start on October 1, 2006. Pay will be according to German public sector guidelines (according to BAT IIa schedule, 75 percent).
Applications should include a statement of academic interests and the planned Ph.D. project (one page) a resume (these two documents are required in electronic format), academic transcripts, and two confidential letters of recommendation (in electronic format).
