Lutheran Community Foundation offering scholarships to area students
March 5, 2006 - Posted in ScholarshipMinneapolis - The Lutheran Community Foundation announces two scholarship opportunities available to Lutheran students of Tulare County.
The two scholarship programs are The Tulare County Lutheran Scholarship Program for Undergraduates and The Tulare County Lutheran Scholarship Program for Graduate and Professional Education. These scholarship opportunities are made possible through a permanently-endowed, charitable fund held at the Foundation, established by a donor who chooses to remain anonymous.
Eligible candidates for the undergraduate school scholarships will be students who will be enrolled as full-time, undergraduate students at a Lutheran college or university. Candidates must be residents of Tulare County and members of a Lutheran congregation. Past applicants and recipients are eligible to reapply for the scholarships.
Eligible candidates for the graduate and professional education scholarships will be students who will be enrolled at an accredited graduate or professional school and who claim, or have claimed in the past, residency in Tulare County. Past applicants and recipients are eligible to reapply for the scholarships.
Complete eligibility requirements and applications for the scholarships are available by contacting the Lutheran Community Foundation at 1-800-365-4172. Applications may also be downloaded from the Foundation’s Website at All applications and supporting documents must be sent to the Foundation and postmarked no later than May 1 for consideration. Applications with postmarks later than this date will be ineligible.
