The Department of Computer Science has a track record of research in diverse fields of Computer Science and is involved in many national and international research projects.

The PhD candidate will do research in the area of ontology engineering, in particular the construction and use of ontology in order to enhance indexing and search in large distributed multimedia collections. The candidate will work in the context of the MultmediaN E-Culture project, aimed at providing improved access to Dutch cultural-heritage.

REQUIREMENT

Master degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, or related disciplines.
