The aim of this post-doctoral position is to compare numerical methods devoted to the simulation of dynamical systems with unilateral contact and tridimensional friction in view of real-time applications in Robotics, Virtual Reality and Haptic Systems. More details on the subject :

APPLICANT
Applicants should have obtained a PhD in Applied Mathematics, or in Mechanical engineering with strong knowledges in scientific computing. Solid skills in numerical analysis and scientific computing are required for application. Knowledges on optimization theory and algorithms and on the non smooth dynamics will be also appreciated. Finally, the applicant must enjoy the implementation of numerical algorithms in the SICONOS software suite in C++, C and FORTRAN http://siconos.gforge.inria.fr/
