The Greater North Miami Chamber of Commerce and city of North Miami are sponsoring a pageant next month where contestants will vie for scholarships and gifts.

The Miss North Miami Pageant USA event April 1 will feature women ages 18 to 24 who live within a 75-mile radius of the city. It will include a swimsuit competition, evening gown segment and a question period.

The dinner and the pageant kick off at 7 p.m. at the Miami Shores Country Club, 10000 Biscayne Blvd. Cost to attend is $40, and the entry fee is $350.
