California Community Colleges Implement New Online International Student Admissions Application Process
California Community Colleges’ CCCApply online application system (http://www.cccapply.org/) has launched a new, comprehensive online international student admissions application process that simplifies and expedites the admissions process for foreign students and CCC campuses alike. As the largest system of higher education in the world, the California Community Colleges attract thousands of students from around the globe to its campuses. The ability to offer a fully integrated online application process with international student terminology and integrated data gathering means quick and secure processing of complete applications into school systems, as opposed to the slower and more labor-intensive traditional mail, document tracking, and manual collection of data. The CCCApply international application with its customizable business process was developed by Xap Corporation (http://www.xap.com/), the national leader in the development of statewide college planning portals. The application has improved efficiency for the growing number of international students, who can now track their submissions during the application process, and is bringing cost savings to the California Community Colleges.
“This is the end product of a collaborative effort among colleges statewide and Xap Corporation. The result is a customizable and complete application process with secure supplemental document integration that satisfies a very popular need for our schools,” said Catherine McKenzie of the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office.
“This new international application process has already exceeded our expectations in the few short weeks we have been using the system, because it can be tailored to meet our needs and has been well received with high international student interest,” said Laith Shammas, Admissions and Records Technical Supervisor for Grossmont College.
Xap Corporation has a track record of developing innovative online tools that meet client needs. The CCCApply’s international student admissions application process, which is more than a standard online application, is the latest. It offers customized workflow processing, document tracking and storage, forms creation, and the ability to communicate with students online and via email throughout the entire admissions process.
“We are pleased to have successfully launched this new tool so that students around the world will gain increased access to California Community Colleges. This new technology allows each college to define its own application process, automatically communicate with applicants throughout the entire admission process, and use its own documents and forms. It is our goal to continue providing innovative technology that assists our education customers to serve their students,” said Liz Dietz, CEO of Xap Corporation.
