Harborfest Offers $1,500 Scholarship; Oswego County High School Senior Eligible
April 20, 2006 - Posted in ScholarshipHarborfest 2006 has established a $1,500 scholarship for a student who plans to attend a four-year college and pursue a career in performing arts, event management or tourism. The festival says eligibility is restricted to any student in the senior or graduating class of an Oswego County high school.
Harborfest says an Awards Committee will be established to evaluate each applicant based on academic achievement and special awards, participation in extracurricular activities and other school activities, community activities, future plans, work experience and a personal written statement.
Applications containing detailed information on the scholarship program and requirements for consideration are available at the Harborfest office, 41 Lake Street in Oswego or on the Harborfest website, www.oswegoharborfest.com. Completed applications must be received by Harborfest by no later than May 12, 2006.
