Spend the fall studying and earning transferable credits as you explore one of the world’s most beautiful cities and the birthplace of the Renaissance. Join Pasadena City College’s Semester Abroad Program in Florence, which runs from Sept. 3 through Nov. 30.

PCC professors Dr. Karen Holgerson and Dr. Rita D’Amico, will be offering instruction in Italian language, literature, culture, and film as well as intercultural communication. Visits to museums and historical sites, a weekend in Rome, day excursions to Siena and San Gimignano, and concerts are included in the program. Students will also have ample time to explore Florence, Tuscany, and other places in Italy and Europe.

“This three-month experience often changes people’s lives,” Holgerson said. “Participants gain in self-awareness as well as develop new perspectives and goals as they go about discovering the historically and culturally rich city of Florence and interact with the Florentines.”

The program fee of $6,499 includes round trip airfare, accommodations in shared apartments, all program excursions (including land transportation, museum/ historical site entrance fees, hotel accommodations), and welcome and farewell dinner parties.
