Scholarship applications for the Anthony “Tony” Gobar Juvenile Justice Scholarship Fund are still being accepted at the Community Foundation of Greater Jackson for the 2006-2007 academic year. The scholarship is named in honor of Anthony Gobar a long-time juvenile justice specialist. The scholarship will provide a one-time award for a full-time junior or senior at a public university in Mississippi or at Southern University in Louisiana majoring in criminal justice, political science, counseling or a similar field. To obtain an application, please inquire at your college Financial Aid Office or Department Head. The application deadline has been extended to May 15, 2006.
