Three area students get 4-H scholarships

More than $12,000 in scholarships have been awarded to 14 Oregon 4-H members by the Extension Service 4-H Youth Development Program at Oregon State University.

Scholarship recipients are selected according to their achievement in 4-H activities, contributions to community and academic performance.

Local scholarship recipients are Sarah Silberstein of Monmouth, who received a $1,500 Martha MacGregor 4-H Scholarship, established by a gift from Cecil and Martha MacGregor, and Travis Bussey Stolk of Salem, who received a $3,000 Martha MacGregor 4-H Scholarship.
