The Desert Hot Springs Women’s Club will present 17 Desert Hot Springs High School seniors with scholarships of $500 or $1,000 each at a noon luncheon Tuesday at the Vista Montana Mobile Home Park Clubhouse.

The club also will present each of the six Desert Hot Springs schools and the Desert Hot Springs Soroptimist House of Hope with a monetary donation for a total of more than $20,000 in community donations.

This year, the club augmented its fundraising efforts by securing sponsors for its “Dollars for Scholars - Scholarship Awards Funds,” which netted $6,500.

Sponsors include Palm Wood/Landmark Properties, Maureen Williams, Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, Century Village Homes, Jenel Homes, Mayer Luce Development and the Roberts Family Trust.
