The Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital Auxiliary has awarded five $1,000 scholarships to students from east Linn County pursuing health care education.

The auxiliary has given a total of $60,300 in scholarships since 1988. This year’s recipients were announced at the auxiliary’s annual scholarship dinner April 3. They are:

• Katie Atchley, Oregon Health and Science University, juunior in the nursing program.
• Kayla Bess, Oregon Institute of Technology, sophomore studying vascular ultrasound.
• Brandy Frick, Linn Benton Community College, radiology technician program.
• Christopher Jantzi, Eastern Mennonite University, senior in the nursing program.
• Jennifer Rochefort, Linn-Benton Community College, second-year student in the Nursing Program.
