Briar Cliff University offers scholarships for continuing ed students
May 2, 2006 - Posted in ScholarshipFinding time to take college classes and eventually earn a degree can be difficult for anyone working full- or part-time. Finding the money to do it can even be more challenging. That’s where Briar Cliff University wants to help continuing education students.
This summer, two $10,000 scholarships will be awarded to two continuing education students who enroll for the first time at Briar Cliff University this fall.
In addition to meeting academic requirements, the scholarships require full-time registration in daytime classes and are annually renewable. The scholarships will be awarded following an interview process at Briar Cliff University’s June 24 Scholarship Day.
Briar Cliff University is also introducing a new scholarship for a Western Iowa Tech Community College graduate who enrolls in full-time daytime classes at BCU in the fall. The WIT Graduate Scholarship requires a transfer cumulative 2.5 grade point average and is renewable for a second-year pending academic standing. The WIT Graduate Scholarship also will be awarded following an interview process on Scholarship Day.
Additionally, BCU also has awards for qualified transfer students. Academic scholarships are based on the student’s cumulative grade point average and require full-time registration in daytime classes.
The deadline to apply for the continuing education scholarships and the WIT Graduate Scholarship is June 1. For more information about the scholarships and the financial aid available to transfer students, contact Rita Langhorst at (712) 279-5407 or by email at rita.langhorst@briarcliff.edu.
