German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) grants 93 scholarships for Kazakhstan students, candidates for master’s degree, postgraduates and scientists for 2006/2007academic year, representatives of German Embassy told today in Almaty. The certificate-giving ceremony has taken place in Kazakh-German University.

DAAD unites all the German higher institutions and supports international academic exchange on the account of public funds (Foreign Affairs and Education and Science Ministries). It has been operating in Kazakhstan for 15 years.

DAAD backs also the activity of four lecturers, one decent, and a language assistant working in Kazakhstan-based educational establishments. It also arranges Kazakhstani students’ trips to Germany, Summer University in Almaty, seminars and summer courses countrywide, involving Kazakhstan and German teachers.
