Three individuals with family ties to the Wisconsin potato and vegetable industry were awarded $500 scholarships by the Wisconsin Potato & Vegetable Growers Association Associate Division for the 2006-07 school year.

Scholarship winners include Tauren Beggs, Plainfield, planning to attend UW-Stevens Point in the fall where he anticipates a major in Web and Digital Media Development; Bryan Novak, Wautoma, UW-Stevens Point for Web and Digital Media Development and Creative Writing; Evan Peissig, Menomonie, plans to attend UW-Madison in the fall majoring in Biology.

Scholarship applications are reviewed by the WPVGA Associate Division board of directors and winners are selected based on merit, financial need and other information provided in the application.
