Lawmakers approve $30 million loan for financially troubled community college

Lawmakers on Thursday approved a $30 million emergency loan to keep the financially strapped Compton Community College District afloat.

For his efforts, the 2006 Moon graduate has been recognized by the Pittsburgh Penguins Alumni Association with a $2,000 scholarship.
