Mayville firm presents scholarships

Four area high school seniors have been awarded 2006 scholarships from Metalcraft of Mayville Inc. for their impressive high school academic record, participation in extracurricular activities and commitment to the benefits of higher education, according to Cheri Stange, marketing communication manager of Scag Power Equipment, a division of Metalcraft of Mayville.

The awards are issued annually to outstanding high school seniors who are children of Metalcraft of Mayville employees.

The scholarships consist of $2,500 each year which is renewable over four years for a total of $10,000 per student.

Recipients are:

Amanda Gronemeyer plans to attend Washington County Community College in West Bend after graduating from Slinger High School. Her father, James, is a welder at the Metalcraft plant in West Bend.

Brittany Strehlow plans to major in education at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay after graduating from Laconia High School in Rosendale. Her father, Todd, is a welder at the Metalcraft plant in West Bend.

Tyler Strook plans to major in civil engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee after graduating from Mayville High School. His mother, Lisa, is a receptionist at Metalcraft of Mayville.

Brittany Weiss plans to major in business at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay after graduating from Mayville High School. Her father, Dale, is a machine tool operator at Metalcraft of Mayville.
