SuperNatural to play for scholarship program
June 11, 2006 - Posted in ScholarshipSaxophonist Chad Lefkowitz-Brown and his band of fellow high school prodigies, SuperNatural, will play at a benefit for the Twin Tiers Jazz Society’s scholarship fund from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Patrick’s in Elmira. Finger foods will be provided. There will be prize drawings, and the society will present its annual scholarship to a student planning to continue his or her music education.
Admission costs $12, $10 for Jazz Society members and $5 for students. Patrick’s is at 303 College Ave.
•Excitement at Eldridge: If you haven’t yet had a chance to ride the newly restored carousel at Eldridge Park, stop by today. The ride, open from noon to 9:30 p.m., will thrill youngsters and remind their parents of sunny childhood days at the park. A spin on the carousel costs $1. Food is available.
