2006 CCRA scholarship
June 23, 2006 - Posted in ScholarshipScholarship applications are now being accepted by the Cowboy Capital Rodeo Association from any college or trade school students who meet the following criteria; have a permanent Bandera County address, completed at least 30 hours of college work or one-half of trade school course work, enrolled as a full-time student taking 12 or more hours, have a GPA of 2.5 or better and participated in rodeos or other agricultural- related events. The application must be accompanied by a copy of current college transcript which should include proof of hours and GPA (grade point average) and proof of enrollment as a full-time student of 12 or more hours at an accredited university or trade school for the Fall semester, 2006.
Additional requirements need to be met by previous scholarship recipients and first-time recipients. Previous 2005 scholarship recipients were required to help with the 2006 CCRA Memorial Weekend Rodeo to be eligible for this year’s 2006 CCRA Scholarships. First-time 2006 scholarship recipients as well as previous scholarship recipients will be required to dedicate a small amount of time to help with the 2007 CCRA Memorial Weekend Rodeo as additional criteria for receiving a 2006 CCRA Scholarship. Acceptance of a 2006 CCRA Scholarship will signify willingness to help with the CCRA Rodeo in May 2007.
The purpose of the CCRA scholarships is to provide funds for continuing college/trade school educational goals. Proceeds raised from the CCRA Memorial Weekend Rodeo are dedicated to providing these much needed scholarships to the youth of Bandera County.

To apply for a 2006 CCRA scholarship, complete an application and return it to: Cowboy Capital Rodeo Association, P.O. Box 1801, Bandera, TX 78003. The application must be postmarked no later than August 1.
