Catholic services make scholarships available to miners, families

Catholic Community Services, the social outreach arm of the Roman Catholic Church’s Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston, is making scholarships of up to $1,000 per year available to West Virginia miners and their immediate families through its Miners Relief Fund.

Grants are awarded regardless of religious affiliation. For more information, call (304) 636-4875.

    Sir, On August 10,2006 I recieved a letter from The Bishop of Wheeling Central (Reverend Michael J. Bransfield concerning a scholarship of $1,000 from Miners Relief Fund . I filled my form out and I attached pictures but I have not yet heard from you , I was just concerned. Could you please let me know something.
