The Rotary Club of Savannah has financial aid available to be awarded to four area college students. The group plans to give away four $1,500 scholarships to students pursuing bachelors degrees at four local colleges and universities, including AASU, Georgia Tech-Savannah, Savannah State, and Savannah Technical College.

The club has helped students get through college, and member Cliff McCurry hopes they return the favor someday. “Our hope is we will contribute to a student’s college education, and they will stay in Savannah and contribute to our community,” he said.

Potential recipients must go through an application process and will be honored at a future Rotary Club meeting.
