MCLA awards scholarships to area residents
June 29th, 2006 - Posted in Education, ScholarshipMassachusetts College of Liberal Arts has awarded academic scholarships to nine Berkshire County residents who will begin their studies at the College this fall.
Scholarship amounts range from $500 per year to the most prestigious award, the Paul Tsongas Scholarship, which is funded by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and covers full tuition and fees at MCLA.
Overall, MCLA awards about 60 scholarships to new students each year. Approximately 70 of the recipients are Massachusetts residents. The students were selected for their outstanding academic merit in high school or college. All were invited to participate in the College’s honors program.
