Sierra College seeking applicants to study photography abroad

Sierra College is accepting applications for the Intercession 2006-07 study abroad program in Peru with award-winning photography instructor, Rebecca Gregg.

Gregg has led several educational programs abroad to China, Russia, Italy, Austria, and Peru for the Intercession 2005-06.

This trip’s duration is from Dec. 27, 2006, to Jan. 12, 2007. The group will depart from San Francisco and arrive in Lima where, after a day of sightseeing, the group will fly to Arequipa. For the next 16 days, it will travel by private deluxe motor coach and the Vista-dome train, stopping to photograph daily Peruvian life and visiting such sites as Santa Catalina Monastery in Arequipa, the Temple of the Sun, the Ollantaytambo fortress in Cusco, Machu Picchu, and other places of interest.

The program fee is $3,370 which includes round-trip air fare, 15 nights accommodations in three-star hotels (or better) with meals, guided sight-seeing tours, special events, services of English speaking guides and on-site support staff, admission fees to museums, baggage handling at hotels and airport transfers, and medical and travel insurance.
