A delegation from Riau Islands is on a two-day visit to observe and study Singapore’s education system.

The group, comprising lecturers and education officials, visited the Education Ministry where they met Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Education, Mr Masagos Zukifli.

The group was also given a briefing on the education curriculum here.

Earlier, the Indonesian team visited Pertapis halfway house to observe and study the role of Malay Muslim Organisations in combating social problems such as drug addiction.

The delegation will visit the Malay Heritage Centre on Wednesday to find out more about the role of Community Development Councils during a meeting with Mayor Zainul Abidin Rasheed. - CNA/ch
