Here’s a partial list of new programs and initiatives at colleges and universities:
• Main campus classes start Aug. 28.
• APSU will offer an online Master of Professional Studies in Strategic Leadership, in conjunction with the Regents Online Degree Program. The new degree is designed for full-time professionals who want to gain an advantage for promotional opportunities, regardless of their career field.
• Construction of the $11 million Student Recreation Center should be complete late this fall. Some of the features will include 18,000 square feet of fitness space, a rock-climbing wall, three multipurpose courts, two fitness rooms, wellness classrooms, an indoor cycling studio and a food service center.
