Jane Bishop, MA, Team Leader at HealthMark Multimedia, LLC, has been selected to present “Multiple paths to online assessment for nurses’ continuing education: Complementary Therapies & Cancer Care: online continuing education for nurses” at the upcoming national conference of the Society for Applied Learning Technology (SALT®) in Washington, DC, August 23-25.

Nurses’ interactive continuing education required designing and programming embedded assessment questions in three options:
• At the beginning to assess current knowledge
• During information presentation
• At the conclusion

Nationwide evaluation of the entire 11-module, 25-hour accredited course measured knowledge, skills, self-efficacy and overall program assessment. Results to be presented will show an average six-fold increase in confidence in the application of complementary therapies to clinical practice and a nearly universal approval of the program design.
