THERE will be an extension of the Multi-Ethnic Affairs, and the Fijian Affairs Board scholarship scheme to the Sangam Institute of Technology School of Nursing in Labasa with future consideration to be given to the University of Fiji, says Multi Ethnic Affairs minister Ratu Meli Saukuru.

This was after Cabinet agreed to the submission on the issue presented by Ratu Meli.

Ratu Meli explained that in view of the high demand for scholarship awards and the large number of eligible students, the Ministry has focused on assisting students at institutions that provide quality programs at lower cost.

“Including new institutions which offer comparatively cheaper programs can help the same number of students or more in future as we have done in the last five years,” he said.
