WEPCO Federal Credit Union Scholarship Awarded.
August 21, 2006 - Posted in Education News, ScholarshipSarah M. Mullenax of Swanton has been awarded the 16th annual WEPCO Federal Credit Union Scholarship Award.
Mullenax will be a student at West Virginia University, where she will pursuing a degree in advertising and business.
She graduated from Garrett College this spring, receiving an associate in arts degree in business management. While at Garrett College, she was named to the National Dean’s List and played club softball.
She is a 2004 graduate of Southern Garrett High School, where she participated in Varsity Soccer, Varsity Softball, Model UN, and School to Careers Internship. She has also been named to Who’s Who Among American High School Students, National Honor Society, National Honor Roll, Minds in Motion Award and distinguished and regular honor roll and was an honors graduate.
Mullenax is the daughter of Zanea and Larry Mullenax, Swanton. She is employed at DeepCreekHospitality.com/THE CHIPS Network as an account executive, Web developer and assistant Webmaster.
The scholarship award was based on an essay entitled: “Identity Theft – How Can You Protect Yourself?†Parents of a child who is a member of WEPCO and will soon enter college can enter the WEPCO Federal Credit Union Scholarship Program next year.
