Applications for the prestigious Auscott Scholarship are now being invited. The scholarship is open to students who reside in the Narromine and Warren shires and attend school at Warren, Trangie, Narromine or Dubbo.

The scholarship covers course fees and living expenses up to a maximum of $10,000 per year. HECS costs are not covered. Currently there are three students on the scholarship program; Amanda Hatton, Nicole Pizzi and Paul Millgate.

Paul was last year’s winner from Narromine High School. He is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts in television production at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga.

Paul is enjoying university life immensely and received some fantastic results for his first semester subjects, gaining two high distinctions. Students who are not going on to university but will attend other tertiary institutions such as TAFE or agricultural colleges are also encouraged to apply.

Application forms can be obtained from schools or by contacting Vickie Wise at the Auscott office at Warren. Applications close September 15.
