A scholarship fund has been set up in memory of Bonnie Thomas of Monkton, who died Aug. 17, five days after being thrown from a horse during a show.

Thomas, 59, had worked at Garrison Forest School for 18 years.

Her husband, Glenn Thomas, and daughter, Wendy Chesser, have established a memorial fund that will support the horse riding program at Garrison Forest School.

“We want the money to be used for students who want to ride, but can’t afford lessons,” Glenn Thomas said.

Checks payable to the Bonnie Elizabeth Thomas Memorial Fund can be sent to Garrison Forest School, 300 Garrison Forest Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117.
