Proceeds from the sale of a special lot in Lime Creek, a new subdivision in Chelsea, have been transformed into a University of Montevallo scholarship.

Financial aid awards to help students pay higher education expenses increased by $11.8 million (7.7 percent) during FY 2006, according to the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA).
KHEAA is the state agency that administers grants, scholarships, Federal Family Education Loans and other programs to help Kentuckians pay for college or technical training.
