Appleton Downtown Rotary Club seeks applicants for study abroad
January 1st, 2007 - Posted in Education, Study AbroadThe Appleton Downtown Rotary Club is seeking college-aged students who wish to apply for an Ambassadorial Scholarship to study abroad during the 2008-09 academic year.
Prospective applicants live or study in Rotary District 6220, which means they are in or north of Outagamie County.
They must have either completed at least two years of college-level work, or must have a secondary school education and have been employed for two years when the scholarship year begins.
The award covers round-trip transportation, tuition, room, board and educational supplies up to $26,000. Applicants can select a country of preference but the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International makes the final decision.
Applications are due Feb. 19. Local interviews will be held in mid-March, and the local candidate will compete for the district scholarship April 7 in Menominee, Michigan.
